About the Course
Vidya Sagar had been offering a one year Post Graduate Diploma in Special Education, Multiple Disabilities since 1990 to create the much needed humanpower to work with persons with Cerebral Palsy and multiple disabilities. This course was recognized by the RCI and Affiliated first to the Mother Teresa University and later the University of Madras.
As the RCI guidelines underwent a change, per the latest directive we have been running a two year full time B.Ed in Special Education, Multiple Disabilities, as a College of Special Education, Affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University and recognized by the RCI. The course offers opportunities to learn about neurological impairments and sensory disabilities.

A student enrolled for the course with us gets an enriched learning experience and scope for hands on work much beyond the classroom and course content. They also imbibe the organization’s values and culture to become ‘Caring Professionals’.
The curriculum of the B.Ed. Special Education (Multiple Disabilities) programme consists of fourteen compulsory theory courses, one elective course out of six elective courses and engagement with the field (school internship, courses on Enhancing Professional Capacities (EPC), and an online course).
