Research
Vidya Sagar has recently established its Research Department, which aims to view societal structures and challenges through the lens of disability. The department focuses on identifying and addressing research gaps that frame disability as a community issue, thereby anchoring its work in community-based projects.

Its scope spans the entire life course of persons with disabilities, encompassing not only the individuals themselves but also their immediate families and the broader society that supports them. Recognizing the limited research available on adults with disabilities, the department places a particular emphasis on concepts of independent living and adulthood.

As a starting point, we are reflecting on, reviewing, and analysing all our existing capacity-building programs for key stakeholders, including persons with disabilities themselves. Our goal is to update these programs to ensure they are contemporary, practical, and aligned with current best practices.
